Chatological Humor update

Nov 01, 2016

Gene's next monthly chat is Tuesday Nov. 29 at noon. You may submit questions here.

On one Tuesday each month, Gene is online to take your questions and abuse. He will chat about anything. Although this chat is sometimes updated between live shows, it is not and never will be a "blog," even though many persons keep making that mistake. One reason for the confusion is the Underpants Paradox: Blogs, like underpants, contain "threads," whereas this chat contains no "threads" but, like underpants, does sometimes get funky and inexcusable.

Greetings.  This is a short, unusual update.  It's just links to two videos.

The first one, though, is special: It is THE GRAND INTERNATIONAL WORLD PREMIERE AND DEBUT of a new song by Boston folksinger Mark Stepakoff.  Mark is a friend of my friend Christine Lavin, who brought this wonderful thing to me, and who did the graphics.

At my request, Christine purged this video of its real title (until the end) because you do not want to know the title before you hear the song.  It is safe for work.  Here it is.

It's going to be included in the famous Hudson Harding Holiday Sampler, which is compiled by Erik Balkey and goes out yearly only to folk DJs and some performers, and contains new music particularly aimed to delight folk experts.   The HHHS is never available for sale.  It is coming out on November 8, which I hope does not seem appropriate, given the mood of this song.

Okay, here is an excellent video sent to me by my uber conservative friend Ralph Benko.  Ralph's conservatism is irrelevant to this, but I mention it as an excuse to remind you of the day Ralph and I met.

That's it.  See you next week.
