Hello and welcome. John Beck takes over for Rex Grossman as the Redskins' quarterback Sunday vs the Carolina Panthers, and we're here to discuss his propsects. A lot of you answered our main question of the day: How long will back hold on to the job?
A few others just wanted to talk about Beck and the Redskins QB situation. We'll do that, too.
Let's go.
From @tonytenor1 on Twitter:
Rex will start against the dolphins with the skins 4-4. Combined 800 yds of offense in 3 starts.
From @RealJerryMiller
Because John Beck likes to move outside the pocket, I see him injured ASAP. Two straight starts.
From @NightWing19:
I think if he stays healthy, he'll play the rest of the year. I mean if the Shannys want to win now, Beck is our best bet #HTTR
From @jtdpsu77:
who cares? the redskins are a horribly-run franchise and havent even been relevant for 20 years -- that's not changing anytime soon.
I know it was a long time ago, but Beck doesn't have a great TD to INT ration either, and we saw he only threw one touchdown in the preseason (off a screen pass). Do you think his red zone eficiency could be an issue, and that he will make just as many mistakes as Grossman?
From @MarianCutler
Only 1. Kyle's invested too much in Rex and is too much a baby not to throw closed-door fit
From @Branballs:
One [game] for every Osmond. Except for Merrill. #StorminMormon
Producer's note: Wikipedia says the Osmonds as a performing group counted seven: Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie and Jimmy.
We've seen what the media has had to say on the QB situation, but what sort of response have you seen from your readers on Rex vs. Beck?
If Beck and Grossman are not the answer at quarterback, what do you feel is Mike and Kyle Shanahan's long-range plan for stability at quarterback.
[Not truly Beck related, but ...]
Do you believe the Redskins will make it to the playoffs this year?
Last post -- from @gocubsgo91:
Beck will start until he gets hurt later this season. Rex will come in and lose big games late this season. Redskins draft a QB in 2012.
