Live from Kettler Capitals Iceplex, Post Caps beat writer Katie Carrera takes your questions about tonight's game against the Sabres and more.

Is there anything to the rumor that Tomas Fleischamann will be a healthy scratch for tonight's game?

Why is Backstrom being put on the second line? I can't imagine it will last more than a couple of shifts, right?

Any updates on Varlamov? I can't wait for him to be back. I believe we can have a great goaltender tandem.

I think Tom Poti is among the top 2 most reliable defensive defenseman on the team, but I am think he's snake bit in terms of injuries. What's the latest? And predicting a "day to day" type response, when do you think the team panics about this situation? And ignore the internet critics - you're doing great.

Yes, the Caps are learning to win "close" games but what they really need for the playoffs is a "killer instinct" - an ability to finish off teams once they have a 3-1 series lead. We've since too many collapes once the Caps have a 3-1 series lead. Is anyone on the team talking about this?

What can the Caps do to lower the goals against? They are starting to give up more goals than earlier in the year, even though they are winning. As McPhee alluded to, the Caps are winning, but setting up some bad habits, by not winning the right way for the playoffs.

Do you think Marcus Johannsen could be ready for 2nd line center duty by the playoffs?

I know GMGM is pretty tight lipped about contract negotiations, but any whispers about a new Semin contract in the works? Does Semin even want to stay? I wouldn't be surprised if he would rather go back to Russia for a big payday in the KHL.
